The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is a network of experienced and highly competent professionals in the fields of engineering and economics, who seek to stimulte contacts between disciplines and across national borders. IVA has several functions: to serve as an information resource, to participate in public debate and to influence public opinion. Established in 1919, IVA is the oldest engineering academy in the world.
World Business Council for Sustainable Development
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is a coalition of 200 international companies united by a shared commitment to sustainable development. The organization pursues this goal via the three pillars: Economic growth, environmental protection and social equity. WBCSD's mission is to provide business leadership as a catalyst for change toward sustainable development, and to promote eco-efficiency, innovation and responsible entrepreneurship.
