International Final
The international final, including the prize award ceremony, will be held at the World Water Week in Stockholm, September 5 - 11, 2010. Finalists from the participating countries will be invited to Stockholm for one week where they will actively take part in the global conference through a variety of arranged activities. Inside the World Water Week in Stockholm conference venue, a poster exhibition of all student projects will give the finalists an opportunity to discuss their projects with the wide range of conference attendees, including researchers, politicians and media. The prize jury will also visit each poster display and interview the finalists about their project. A special seminar and workshop is arranged for the competing students, who are also free to attend any of the other conference’s sessions.
The international finalists take part in daily social, educational, and cultural events, including a tour of Stockholm’s stunning archipelago, a meet-and-greet in the Stockholm City Hall (the site of the Nobel banquet), and of course, the prize ceremony. One of the highlights of the World Water Week in Stockholm, the prize ceremony features inspired speeches from distinguished members of the water community, including the Stockholm Water Prize Laureate. H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, the Patron of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, bestows the prize at the ceremony to the winners.
