Ms. Lotten Hubendick is a Programme Officer at the UNDP Water Governance Facility (WGF) at SIWI. She mainly works with the coordination of the UNDP GoAL WaSH Programme. She furthermore coordinates the work of the Good Governance sub-theme on transparency and integrity in the water sector, of the 6th World Water Forum.
Prior to joining SIWI, Ms. Hubendick worked as a Desk Officer at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (Department for Management and Methods in Development Cooperation). Among other tasks she provided support in the process of developing new bilateral aid strategies, particularly for conflict and post-conflict countries.
Ms. Hubendick is experienced in project management and monitoring. For two years she worked at the European Commission Delegation in Khartoum, Sudan, where she was responsible for managing the support to a major programme aiming at improving the living conditions of urban poor in Khartoum State. The work entailed coordination with a wide range of actors, such as government institutions, donors, UN agencies and NGOs.
Ms. Hubendick’s regional experiences include Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. She is proficient in English, Spanish and French.
Ms. Hubendick holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Uppsala University.
