Ms. Moa Cortobius joined SIWI in 2011. In her position as a Programme Officer for the UNDP Water Governance Facility at SIWI, she works with Knowledge Management related to strengthened economic and democratic governance in the water and sanitation sector. She is also a Research Assistant within the research partnership Towards Transcultural transparency where she looks at how to overcome socio-cultural barriers to access to water and sanitation services that indigenous people face. Ms. Cortobius has previously worked with local NGOs in Ecuador. She is also the focal point for gender issues for SIWI.
Ms. Cortobius has a BA in Environment and Development and a MSc. in Environmental Science, Political decision-making and Communication. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Swedish.
