Nominate for the 2013 Stockholm Water Prize before September 15

Winning the Stockholm Water Prize takes a lifetime of achievement. Nomination takes only a minute.

First presented in 1991, the Stockholm Water Prize is the world’s most prestigious prize for outstanding achievements in water-related activities, recognising the most imaginative and creative minds that drive water development forward. The annual prize, which includes a USD 150,000 award and a crystal sculpture specially designed and created by Orrefors, is presented each year at a Royal award ceremony and banquet in the Stockholm City Hall during the World Water Week in Stockholm. Winning the Stockholm Water Prize provides the Laureate with great visibility and global acknowledgement. Any actor who has contributed broadly to the availability, conservation and protection of the world’s water resources, and to improved water conditions which contribute to the health of the planet’s inhabitants and ecosystems, is eligible to be nominated.

To nominate, visit siwi.org/stockholmwaterprize/nominate and fill in the nominee’s personal and professional details together with a brief explanation as to why this individual or organisation deserves the world’s most prestigious prize in water. Deadline for nominations is Saturday September 15, 2012.
