SIWI in partnership with UNESCO IHE will present research related to regional governance options followed by a panel of basin commissioners sharing their experiences from key basins globally. SIWI will then present a model for regional financing for transboundary water investments. SIWI’s Director of Transboundary Water Management, Dr Therese Sjömander Magnusson will also moderate a panel of leading public and private financing institutions.

Governance and financing in transboundary waters are intricately linked – without regional agreement on basin governance, financing opportunities from public and private sources cannot be accessed.

The conference is organized by EcoPeace Middle East and held under the Patronage of H.E. Dr. Hazim El-Nasser, Jordanian Minister of Water & Irrigation.
