SIWI’s first water integrity training in the MENA region

On January 14-15 SIWI organises its first regional Training Workshop on Water Integrity for MENA Region. The training takes place back-to back with the 3rd Arab Water Week, by the Dead Sea, Jordan and forms part of  SIWI’s multi-partner 4 year Capacity Building Programme on Water Integrity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The main objective of this workshop is  to launch the national trainings which will take place later during the year as well as to reach out to a bigger audience beyond the programme target countries (Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan and Palestine).

Based on the findings of five national assessment undertaken in 2014 in which integrity risks and capacity needs were identified the national trainings target water managers at the national and operational level as well as civil society and women to equip them with tailor-made pro-integrity messages and tools. A workshop for high-level decision makers will be held later this year to advocate for the issue and create a dialogue on the government level.
