Water Integrity Network Association founded
The new Water Integrity Network Association, striving to curb corruption and ensure equitable use of water resources, was initiated in Berlin last week.
The Association has both institutional and individual formal members, a small group who are ultimately responsible for its governance, in contrast to the much larger informal membership of the many organisations and individuals who are working within the Water Integrity Network. SIWI is a Founding Member of the Association and Dr. Håkan Tropp sits on the board.
The WIN Association will continue the implementation of the WIN Global Strategy, promoting integrity in the water sector to reduce corruption and to ensure the sustainable and equitable use of water resources and a clean and healthy environment, in particular for the benefit of the poor.
