For 20 years, the international final of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize has taken place at World Water Week in Stockholm, bringing together some of the world’s most clever, innovative and passionate youths. However, the competition is just the beginning of a longer journey. We want to further elevate these innovative young water minds and their ideas through WaterTank.

Each year, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize selects 30 finalists to present their projects at World Water Week. These finalists represent the 30 brightest young minds in water. Aged between 15 and 20, they have competed against thousands of others in their home countries to bring forward the top ideas to promote water sustainability.

WaterTank is the alumni network for Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) finalists. It allows past finalists to connect and collaborate with each other, as well as be paired with mentors and advisors. The aim is to help water’s brightest young minds advance their game-changing projects while developing promising careers in the water sector. We believe that keeping these talented individuals engaged in the water sector is the best way to promote innovation and secure a water wise world.

By bringing together SJWP alumni with experts from leading organizations such as Xylem Inc., Raincoat Foundation and SIWI, we create job and mentorship opportunities for our young leaders, as well as channels for talent identification and development for our partners.
