The Nyanza province in the south-western corner of Kenya is probably known for being the countrys shoreline to the worlds second largest fresh water body, Lake Victoria. The name itself, Nyanza, means a large body of water in the local Luo language. More recently, the area drew international attention being the birthplace of US President Barack Obamas father.
