Scientific projections of future climate change are now available in the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It discusses climate change in relation to the amount of greenhouse gases and aerosols in the atmosphere, solar radiation and the properties of the worlds land surfaces. It also estimates future climate change for different scenarios of greenhouse gas emissions. This article summarises the Reports main findings.
