The 2001 World Water Week were a successful meeting with a diverse agenda included issues such as how to foster inter-sectoral dialogue, wastewater reuse for augmenting diminishing fresh water supplies, the pros and cons of dam projects, and the crucial role of fresh water for economic and social development, including agriculture, industrial use and energy production.
