Mr Joyce is Chief Economist at SIWI, supporting areas such as economics, policy, strategy and external relations. He is currently involved in the implementation of NAIAD, which focuses on the insurance value of water and also SIWI’s engagement with the Rockefeller Foundation and the High Level Panel on Water.
John has over 18 years of experience specializing in infrastructure investment, regulatory impact assessment, strategy and policy. His experience includes risk and resilience, transboundary cooperation processes, design of economic instruments, valuation and investment prioritization. John is an Irish national and speaks English.
 
Prior to joining SIWI in 2010, John was Associate Director of IPA Advisory in London. He also worked on the Water Framework Directive economic analysis for Defra, was a consultant environmental economist in Europe, and Country Representative (Vietnam) for The Atlantic Foundation.
