Ms. Johanna Sjödin
Ms. Sjödin works mainly on the Water Economics team, notably with political economy analyses and various project management tasks. She is also focal point for poverty reduction; one of our cross-cutting issues.
Ms. Johanna Sjödin is a Programme Officer at SIWI’s Knowledge Services Department. She works mainly on the Water Economics team, notably with political economy analyses and various project management tasks. Ms. Sjödin also works on water governance issues, and is the SIWI focal point for poverty reduction; one of our cross-cutting issues.
Ms. Johanna Sjödin is specialised in project and programme management. She has got strong skills in project management and also good competence in political economy analysis and quantitative data analysis. Her work at SIWI has involved topics of EU-Africa relations on water, corporate water responsibility and networking among water economists. Before joining SIWI, Ms Sjödin gained experience from various international organisations within the fields of water policy and international development. For instance, she carried out research on financial and governance aspects of urban and rural water supply and sanitation in Chile and Nicaragua. Through language studies and by living and working in several Latin American and European countries, Ms Sjödin has gained a strong command of Spanish and French.
Ms. Johanna Sjödin holds an MSc in International Development and Management and a BSc in International Social Science and Economics.
