On March 1, 2012 he moved on to Washington DC to become the Executive Director of 2030 Water Resources Group at the International Finance Corporation within the World Bank Group. Just before he left his central Stockholm office, he took the time to reflect on how SIWI has developed over the years.</p>

<p>This report lays out the economic case for investing in sanitation: 1.47 billion people (20% of the worlds population) stand to benefit if the target is met and the economic benefits could be as high as USD 65 billion annually.</p>

<p>This Policy Brief highlight key facts, conditions and trends regarding water aspects of food production and consumption, and illustrates important policy directions for discussion in the near future.</p>
