But it would save far more than it cost, it would unlock huge potential, and it would improve countless lives. The Governments of Norway and Sweden commissioned the Stockholm International Water Institute to quantify the economic benefits of improved water management and services. The report’s findings demonstrate just how much good macroeconomic sense it makes to end the crisis. Read more in this issue of Water Front.

The Seminar was to build a bridge between on the one hand successes and failures of past decades, and on the other the conceptual development, efforts and strategies needed for the next thirty years, and policy options available to avert the looming water crisis.
