You can also read about the Aral Sea basin which has everything necessary for a bright future according to a recent UNESCO study. Water availability is not a limiting factor for reaching the socio-economic development objectives in terms of health, nutrition and wealth according to the study.</p>

<p><strong>About the 6th World Water Forum</strong><br />
The World Water Forum is largest water event in the world. It is a tri-annual conference that gathers over 25000 participants are expected in 2012 to take part in 250 sessions and panels and about 100 Grassroots &amp; Citizenship events. The Forum is organised jointly by the World Water Council, the French State, and the City of Marseille with the support of local and regional authorities.</p>

In times when much attention is given to the challenges of current economic crisis, or on climate change, it is good that the world receives a reminder that water is still an unresolved challenge in many parts of the world, already today affecting the lives of more people than any of the other challenges.</p>
