style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="font-size:11px;">The profound connections between growing food, meeting energy needs and ensuring sufficient safe water for people  now commonly referred to as  Nexus - needs partnerships across sectors and across administrative levels. The latest meeting of the EUWI AWG at the World Water Week in September illustrated the unique role of the working group as a platform providing representatives from the two regions the opportunity to exchange information and share ideas on the way forward. The EUWI, and AWG will be present next month in Budapest at the Water Summit and have the opportunity to interact with business representatives, during the Business Forum, about the EU/Africa collaboration for water security in Africa.<br> <br> The report on financial support to transboundary water cooperation in Africa that was prepared by the AWG for AMCOW (available in this newsletter) indicates progress has been made in the last years but it also shows more policy attention is required on this crucial issue, which has received a reinforced political attention during the EU Foreign Affairs Council of July 2013. The AWG is engaging in capacity building activities together with the African Network of Basin Organisations, due to take place by the end of this year, contributing to a more coherent, concerted and
