SIWI article in 2013 UNESCO World Social Science Report

SIWI’s Dr. Anders Jägerskog has contributed the article “Glass half full or half empty? Transboundary water co-operation in the Jordan River Basin" to the World Social Science Report 2013: Changing Global Environments, published by OECD.

Dr. Jägerskog discusses water scarcity and political conflict in the region and stresses the importance of social science perspectives in understanding how water cooperation development in the Jordan river basin.

The publication is being presented today, 10th October, in Montreal during an informal ‘pre-launch’ to coincide with the International Social Science Council (ISSC) General Assembly.

 The official launch is scheduled for November 15th 2013 at the UNESCO General Conference in Paris where UNESCO Director General, Irina Bokova, will formally present the publication.
