Mr. Robin Ward is a Programme Manager in the Water and Sanitation team at SIWI.

Robin mainly supports the UNICEF-UNDP-SIWI Accountability for Sustainability partnership, including managing the MENA regional programme on water scarcity and coordinating a study on understanding and strengthening linkages between WASH and Water Resources Management sectors, under the global programme.

He has over 12 years’ experience in the water sector internationally, having worked for UN agencies (UNDP and UNICEF), NGOs and the private sector across seven countries. Before joining SIWI in 2019, he was stationed overseas for six years, including most recently as Chief Technical Advisor for UNDP to the Government of Solomon Islands for Climate Change Adaptation in the water sector. Prior to that, with UNICEF, as WASH Specialist (Malawi and Mongolia) he worked closely with governments, supporting strengthening of WASH sector coordination and service delivery, and in South Asia (India and Bangladesh) working with NGOs on water treatment, including arsenic mitigation. He has an early career as a water scientist in the UK with the water utility serving London, and a MSc from Cranfield University (UK) in Community Water and Sanitation.
