Said Hashmat Sadat, MSc, MBA is a river engineer with focus on river basin development, large hydropower dam and transboundary watercourses management. He is graduated from IHE-Delft and held many technical and managerial positions at the United Nations (UN) agencies in Afghanistan, Sudan, Ethiopia and Lebanon for more than a decade. He executed many national and international projects funding by various traditional donors particularly in the field of water infrastructure development. He published academic and technical papers in the areas of hydrology, hydraulic and water resources management. He is also acquainted to use engineering numerical models in the field of hydrology and in water resources engineering. Said currently works with SIWI as Programme Manager at the Transboundary Water Cooperation Department in Stockholm.
